What this policy covers

This policy applies to the meriena website. meriena is the trading name of MERIENA DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., a Taiwanese company founded in Taoyuan in 2026.

Each app carries its own privacy policy when it launches. This one covers the website only.

What the site does not do

This site is static HTML and CSS, plus a few lines of inline JavaScript whose only job is to remember whether you chose light or dark, which the next section covers. There is no backend and no database. No form here submits anywhere. While you read this page your browser makes no request to any domain but ours.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Beyond that, the site does not currently carry any of the following:

Externally hosted web fonts
Analytics or traffic measurement
A tag manager
Advertising or tracking pixels
Third-party embeds, including video players, maps and comment systems
Social widgets or share buttons
Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies

The site remembers in your browser whether you chose the light or dark version of the page.

That setting stays on your device and is never transmitted. Clear your browsing data and it is gone, and the site follows your operating system's appearance setting again.

Nothing else is stored.

Server access logs

Like every web host, Cloudflare's servers keep default access logs, generated, retained and deleted by Cloudflare under its own policy.

We do not consult those logs, and nothing in them is shared.

If you email us

Mail you send us goes from your own mailbox. Nothing passes through this site.

If you do write to hello@meriena.com, Article 8 of Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act requires us to tell you the following:

Name of the non-government agency: MERIENA DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., trading as meriena.
Purpose of the collection: To read your message and reply to it. If you write asking to be told when an app launches, your message is kept until that has been sent. We do not build mailing lists and we do not send newsletters.
Categories of personal data collected: Only what you put in the message: the email address you send from, whatever name you sign, and anything you choose to write. We will not ask you for a national ID number, date of birth, phone number or postal address.
Time period, territory, recipients and methods of use: Period: correspondence is kept for as long as the purpose above requires, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. The mailbox and forwarding providers may keep backups on their own schedules, which are not ours to set.
Territory: Taiwan, plus the overseas servers your message passes through in transit.
Recipients and methods: we read and reply in an ordinary mailbox. Cloudflare Email Routing and the mailbox provider handle the message in transit, because they have to. Beyond those two, nothing in your message is provided, exchanged or sold to any third party.
Your rights under Article 3, and how to exercise them: The rights Article 3 gives you, and how to exercise them, are in the next section.
The effect of choosing not to provide your personal data: Writing to us is entirely your choice. No part of this site needs personal data to work. Write without a return address and we simply cannot answer.

Your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act

Under Article 3 of Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act you hold the following five rights over personal data you have given us. They shall not be waived in advance or limited by a specific agreement:

To make an inquiry of and to review your personal data
To request a copy of your personal data
To supplement or correct your personal data
To demand the cessation of the collection, processing or use of your personal data
To erase your personal data

To exercise any of them, email hello@meriena.com and say which.

We answer within the periods Article 13 sets, and none of it costs anything.

The same applies if you are writing from outside Taiwan.

Changes to this policy

This policy might change, or be edited for clarity, over time. When it does we update the date at the top of the page and describe the change here, and the change takes effect on the day it is published. This is the first version.
